Linda & Harold Beane | H&R Motors/Milestones
Linda and Harold Beane opened H&R Motors in 1995. Their location sits at “the gate of the city” of Springville, AL. They were able to expand their current location thanks to UnionState Bank. H&R Motors is a fixture in this small town. Most of their customers return for updated purchases, as well as refer family and friends.
The Beanes are very involved in their community. The building next door to their location sat empty for years. Their initial intention was to “expand the lot and set up a body shop.” Once they acquired the property, they “knew the building wasn’t for them.” They knew the building was meant for something more important, something bigger than them.
The Beanes have an autistic grandson who travels to Milestones in Vestavia, AL several times a week. Understanding the need of an ABA (Assistant Behavioral Analysis) clinic in St. Clair County, they made the decision to donate the new location to Milestones. “Every Child deserves to have the opportunity,” Linda states. “So many people have been gracious and such a blessing,” she explains how the community came together donating services and items to get the clinic started.
Like the community of Springville, USB believes in their communities and strives to provide a level of service that is unheard of these days.
